Can 3D printed parts replace machined jigs and fixtures?
For many light-duty jigs, fixtures and gauges, yes. PA6-CF carbon-fibre nylon is stiff and heat resistant, and printing is far quicker than machining for one-off tooling. Our typical tolerance is ±0.2 mm, so for heavy loads or tighter tolerances machining is still the better choice — tell us the use and we'll advise.
