PA6-GF 3D Printing Service
Bambu Lab PA6-GF· Glass fibre nylon: strong, heat-resistant and available in colours.
Made in Navi Mumbai · Free delivery in Mumbai · Shipped across India
PA6-GF is nylon 6 reinforced with glass fibre. It is strong, tough and heat resistant like carbon fibre nylon, but it is available in colours and absorbs impacts better. It is a good fit when a functional part also needs to look the part, or has to survive knocks and drops.
We print PA6-GF at our studio in Vashi, Navi Mumbai, on an enclosed Bambu Lab X2D with a hardened nozzle, and deliver free across Mumbai, Thane and Navi Mumbai.

About Bambu Lab PA6-GF
Bambu Lab PA6-GF is a high-performance engineering filament made from PA6 nylon reinforced with glass fiber. It offers excellent strength, toughness, and heat resistance, and it handles impact better than carbon fiber alternatives. That makes it a great choice for durable functional parts, mechanical components, housings, and industrial tooling that need to withstand stress and repeated use.
- High strength and toughness with excellent impact resistance
- Good heat resistance for demanding applications
- Glass fiber reinforcement for dimensional stability and reduced warping
- Strong layer adhesion for reliable functional parts
- Ideal for housings, brackets, gears, jigs, fixtures, and mechanical components
What PA6-GF is best for
- Coloured functional parts and housings
- Brackets, clamps and mounting hardware
- Gears, pulleys and mechanical components
- Jigs and fixtures that get knocked about
- Heat-exposed enclosures
- Product prototypes that must look like the final part
PA6-GF strengths and limitations
Strengths
- Heat deflection around 182 °C
- Tougher on impact than carbon fibre nylon
- Available in colours, not just black
- Good dimensional stability for an engineering nylon
Limitations
- Less stiff than PA6-CF or PAHT-CF
- Absorbs moisture over time, like all PA6 nylons
- Slightly rougher surface than unfilled plastics

Design guidelines for PA6-GF parts
Follow these when preparing your file. Our team also checks every order before printing and flags anything that needs changing.
- Minimum wall thickness
- 1.5 mm; 2–3 mm for structural parts
- Unsupported overhangs
- Up to 45° without supports
- Minimum hole diameter
- 2 mm; ream or drill for bearing fits
- Clearance for moving fits
- 0.3–0.5 mm per side
- Part orientation
- Align the main load with the print layers (XY), not across them
- Threads and inserts
- Heat-set brass inserts work well; we can fit them for you
- Typical tolerance
- ±0.2 mm

PA6-GF 3D printing FAQ
01 What is the difference between PA6-GF and PA6-CF?
Both are reinforced nylon 6. Carbon fibre (PA6-CF) makes parts stiffer and lighter, but only in black. Glass fibre (PA6-GF) gives slightly lower stiffness, better impact resistance and a choice of colours.
02 Is PA6-GF heat resistant?
Yes. PA6-GF has a heat deflection temperature of about 182 °C, well above PLA, PETG and ABS, so it suits parts near motors and other heat sources.
03 What colours does PA6-GF come in?
The colours we currently stock are shown at the top of this page. If you need a specific colour, message us before ordering and we will confirm availability.
04 When should I choose PA6-GF?
Choose PA6-GF when a part needs nylon-level strength and heat resistance, takes impacts, or has to be a particular colour. If maximum stiffness matters more, choose PA6-CF.
05 Do you ship PA6-GF 3D printed parts across India?
Yes. PA6-GF parts are made at our studio in Vashi, Navi Mumbai, and shipped anywhere in India by BlueDart or Delhivery with live tracking. Upload your file to the instant quote calculator, choose PA6-GF, and the price is shown in about a minute with no minimum order.
