ASA-CF 3D Printing Service
Bambu Lab ASA-CF· Carbon-fibre-reinforced ASA: stiff, matte and built for the outdoors.
Made in Navi Mumbai · Free delivery in Mumbai · Shipped across India
ASA-CF is ASA reinforced with chopped carbon fibre. It keeps ASA's resistance to sunlight, weather and moisture, and adds stiffness: Bambu Lab rates its tensile modulus at 4,200 MPa in-plane, against 2,450 MPa for plain ASA. The result is a rigid, light part with a fine matte finish that hides layer lines, ideal for outdoor brackets, housings, mounts and drone parts that must not flex.
With a heat deflection temperature of 110 °C (0.45 MPa), ASA-CF also stays dimensionally stable in a hot car, on a rooftop or next to warm electronics, where PLA and PETG parts would soften.
We print ASA-CF in-house at our studio in Vashi, Navi Mumbai, on an enclosed Bambu Lab X2D with a hardened steel nozzle, because carbon fibre quickly wears out standard brass nozzles. As a drone and robotics workshop, we design parts for exactly the vibration and outdoor conditions ASA-CF is chosen for. Parts are delivered free across Mumbai, Thane and Navi Mumbai and shipped across India.

What ASA-CF is best for
- Outdoor drone, RC and robotics parts that must stay rigid
- Camera, sensor and antenna mounts
- Automotive brackets, trim and accessory mounts
- Outdoor electronics enclosures with a premium matte finish
- Jigs and fixtures used near warm equipment
- Solar, telecom and street-furniture fittings
ASA-CF strengths and limitations
Strengths
- About 1.7× stiffer than plain ASA (4,200 vs 2,450 MPa tensile modulus, in-plane)
- Keeps ASA's UV and weather resistance for long outdoor life
- 110 °C heat deflection (0.45 MPa), higher than plain ASA
- Fine matte carbon finish that hides layer lines
- Low density (1.02 g/cm³) for light, rigid parts
Limitations
- Less impact-tough than plain ASA (14 vs 41 kJ/m² unnotched). Choose ASA for parts that take knocks
- Weaker through the layers (Z) than in-plane, so we orient the part for the load direction
- Very fine details print less crisply than in plain ASA because of the fibre fill
- For heavy structural loads or higher heat, PA6-CF or PAHT-CF is much stronger

ASA-CF 3D printing FAQ
01 What is ASA-CF used for?
ASA-CF is used for outdoor parts that need to be stiff and light: drone and RC parts, camera and sensor mounts, automotive brackets and enclosures. It combines ASA's UV and weather resistance with carbon fibre stiffness and a matte finish.
02 Is ASA-CF stronger than PA6-CF?
No. PA6-CF is much stronger and stiffer (102 MPa tensile strength against 34 MPa) and handles more heat. ASA-CF's advantage is resistance to UV and weather, so it suits stiff parts that live outdoors.
03 Should I choose ASA-CF or plain ASA?
Choose ASA-CF when stiffness and a matte carbon look matter most. Choose plain ASA when the part may be dropped or knocked, as it has about three times the impact strength. Both resist sun and weather.
04 Does ASA-CF need a special printer?
Yes. Carbon fibre is abrasive and wears out brass nozzles, and ASA needs a warm, enclosed chamber to avoid warping. We print it on an enclosed Bambu Lab X2D with a hardened steel nozzle, so you only need to upload your file.
05 Do you ship ASA-CF 3D printed parts across India?
Yes. ASA-CF parts are made at our studio in Vashi, Navi Mumbai, and shipped anywhere in India by BlueDart or Delhivery with live tracking. Upload your file to the instant quote calculator, choose ASA-CF, and the price is shown in about a minute with no minimum order.
06 Do you deliver ASA-CF parts across Mumbai?
Yes. We print ASA-CF at our studio in Vashi, Navi Mumbai, and deliver free across all of Mumbai, Thane up to Kalwa and Navi Mumbai up to Seawoods, CBD Belapur and Ulwe. Mira Road, Vasai–Virar, Kalyan, Dombivli, Bhiwandi, Panvel and Uran ship by courier for a delivery charge. Typical lead time for ASA-CF is 3 days.
