What is Drone Studio?
Navi3D Drone Studio is a free, browser-based drone configurator and ground control station (GCS). It connects to your flight controller over Web Serial — with no desktop app to install — so you can flash firmware, calibrate the IMU and compass, run motor vibration sweeps, tune PID gains live, watch real-time attitude and GPS telemetry, record and replay blackbox flight logs, and plan autonomous GPS waypoint missions. It supports the Navi3D Micro, F450, Cine 4S and Autonomous GPS airframes running on Teensy 4.0 and Teensy 4.1 flight controllers.
Frequently asked questions
Do I need to install any software to flash my drone firmware?
No. Drone Studio flashes flight-controller firmware straight from Chrome, Edge or Brave using Web Serial. A small local Hardware Helper drives the Teensy bootloader; the firmware image travels over loopback and never leaves your machine.
Can I tune PID values online?
Yes. Connect over serial and adjust roll, pitch, yaw, altitude and position PID gains live, apply them instantly, then save them to the flight controller's EEPROM.
Which flight controllers are supported?
Navi3D builds on Teensy 4.0 and Teensy 4.1. The Autonomous GPS build uses a Teensy 4.1 with an M10Q GPS module, QMC5883L compass, DPS310 barometer and an E220 LoRa telemetry link.
Can I plan autonomous GPS missions?
Yes. The Mission tab provides a live map, a waypoint editor, battery-budgeted range estimates and a full failsafe matrix including link-loss return-to-home, GPS-loss land-in-place and geofencing.
