PLA Tough+ 3D Printing Service
Bambu Lab PLA Tough +· PLA that takes knocks: three times the impact strength, same easy accuracy.
Made in Navi Mumbai · Free delivery in Mumbai · Shipped across India
PLA Tough+ is a toughened PLA from Bambu Lab, made for functional parts. It keeps everything that makes PLA easy, including sharp detail, accurate dimensions and a low price, but it is far less brittle. Bambu Lab's data sheet rates its unnotched impact strength at 80.6 kJ/m², about three times that of standard PLA (26.6 kJ/m²), so clips, snap-fits, handles and enclosures survive drops and repeated use instead of cracking.
That makes it the step up when standard PLA is not quite enough but an engineering material would be overkill: functional prototypes, jigs and fixtures, tool holders, product housings, and student and maker projects.
We print PLA Tough+ on Bambu Lab printers at our studio in Vashi, Navi Mumbai, deliver free across Mumbai, Thane and Navi Mumbai, and ship across India.

What PLA Tough+ is best for
- Functional prototypes that get handled, dropped and tested
- Snap-fits, clips and latches
- Jigs, fixtures and assembly aids
- Tool holders, organisers and workshop parts
- Product enclosures and handheld device housings
- Student, college and maker projects that need more durability
PLA Tough+ strengths and limitations
Strengths
- About 3× the impact strength of standard PLA (80.6 vs 26.6 kJ/m², in-plane)
- Much less brittle, so snap-fits and clips flex instead of cracking
- Same accuracy and fine detail as standard PLA
- Affordable and quick to print
Limitations
- Same heat limit as standard PLA: softens at around 58–62 °C, so keep it out of cars in the sun and away from hot machinery
- Not for long-term outdoor use. Choose ASA for parts that live outside
- Weaker through the layers (Z) than in-plane, so we orient parts for the main load
- For high stiffness or structural loads, use PA6-CF or PAHT-CF

PLA Tough+ 3D printing FAQ
01 What is the difference between PLA and PLA Tough+?
PLA Tough+ is a toughened PLA. It prints with the same accuracy and detail, but Bambu Lab rates its unnotched impact strength at about three times that of standard PLA, so parts bend and absorb knocks instead of snapping. Tensile strength and heat resistance are similar to standard PLA.
02 When should I choose PLA Tough+ instead of standard PLA?
Choose it for parts that are handled, dropped, clipped together or screwed down: functional prototypes, jigs, enclosures and clips. For display models and concept prototypes, standard PLA is enough.
03 Can PLA Tough+ handle heat or outdoor use?
No. It softens at around 58 °C, like standard PLA, so it should not be left in a car in the sun or near hot machinery. For outdoor and heat-exposed parts choose ASA, and for maximum strength and stiffness choose a carbon fibre nylon such as PA6-CF.
04 How much does PLA Tough+ 3D printing cost?
The price depends on the size, infill and print time of your part. Upload your STL or 3MF file to the instant quote calculator, choose PLA Tough+, and you will see the price in about a minute.
05 Do you ship PLA Tough+ 3D printed parts across India?
Yes. PLA Tough+ parts are made at our studio in Vashi, Navi Mumbai, and shipped anywhere in India by BlueDart or Delhivery with live tracking. Upload your file to the instant quote calculator, choose PLA Tough+, and the price is shown in about a minute with no minimum order.
06 Do you deliver PLA Tough+ parts across Mumbai?
Yes. We print PLA Tough+ at our studio in Vashi, Navi Mumbai, and deliver free across all of Mumbai, Thane up to Kalwa and Navi Mumbai up to Seawoods, CBD Belapur and Ulwe. Mira Road, Vasai–Virar, Kalyan, Dombivli, Bhiwandi, Panvel and Uran ship by courier for a delivery charge. Typical lead time for PLA Tough+ is 2–4 days.
